Elevation Certificates & FIRM Panels

The City of Phoenix collects, maintains Elevation Certificates for all new or substantial improved structures built in the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). These documents are available at no cost, upon request. To see if your property has an Elevation Certificate on file, you may use the interactive Floodmap viewer, or contact the Community & Economic Development Department.

The City of Phoenix adopted FEMA’s Flood Insurance Rate Map panels, or FIRM Panels, in April of 1982. These maps  are periodically revised by FEMA and adopted by the City of Phoenix. This provides the basis for determining if a property is within the Special Flood Hazard Area, what type of hazard area, and to determine what development regulations apply.  FIRM panels can be accessed using the FEMA Flood Map Service Center to create property specific FIRMettes or by downloading the individual panels using the links below.
