Long, planted, open channel with gentle side slopes and a flat bottom that receives and conveys stormwater runoff and is designed and constructed to both remove pollutants via filtration through plants and to promote infiltration. May have check dams to pond water and promote infiltration.

Types of Stormwater Management
Stormwater storage is often used under parking lots, roads, and paved areas within commercial, industrial and residential areas to collect and reduce the flow of stormwater runoff.
